Describe the other Floodgate members in two sentences or less.

Jason - He is incredibly talented. Great voice and almost perfect harmony.

Kelly- my cousin, and best friend. Great guy who is as dedicated as anyone I have ever known.

Taz- absolutely the best guitarist I have ever known. Incredible writer of music, and a great teacher.

Kerry- one of the most talented guys I know. He is truly blessed with the ability to do anything on a computer (newsletter, website, CD artwork…). Faithful and dedicated to what God has called him to do.

How has being a part of Floodgate affected your life?

It has taught me that nothing works without hard work and dedication, not even things of God. It has also shown me what can be accomplished when a group of guys puts their own agendas aside to go after what God has called them to do. And how sweet the process and completion of a work of music can be- from when God inspires it, to watching it unfold in practice, to the beauty of it being performed perfectly on stage, to someone being moved by it. WOW!

More from Scott:

This is what God has called me to do and I love it! I have been singing in church since I was 4 years old and it has been my burning passion ever since. I also love to play guitar. But most of all I love to stand in front of a group of people and tell them about my wonderful Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Whether through some rocking Christian music or through sharing the Word of God in testimony, I love to see people won to Christ and drawn into an awesome worship experience with God. We serve an awesome God! He has gifted me with talents and put desires in my heart, and then placed me in a Christian band where I can live out all of these for his glory. God saved me at the young age of 8 years old. God has always been very important to me. Thanks to the greatest parents in the world I was taught to honor God and His Word, and to attend church every time the doors opened. Because of the way God worked through my parents I never forgot where my life should be. So even through the years I spent away from God doing all sorts of evil, God patiently put up with me and once again drew me back into a relationship with Him. Since then God has called me into the ministry. I spent about 6 years in the youth ministry, followed by 2 years in the college/career ministry. I have taught Sunday School and Discipleship Classes for adults in my church and I currently sing in the church choir. Whether through teaching a Sunday school class or jamming with Floodgate it is an honor and a privilege to serve God.

I am very thankful for my beautiful wife, Brittney, and my two rambunctious boys, Mason (8) and Chapman (4) (aka “Mr. Destructo”). They are the apple of my eye, my best friends, and my biggest fans. I am truly a rich man, rich because God has blessed me with wonderful people in my life, who love me unconditionally. My two greatest desires are to be the best husband and dad that I can possibly be, and to reach the potential that God has set for me as a vocalist and musician- so that He can use me anywhere and anytime to share His gospel.
